5 Alternatives to Mininova

List of other available BitTorrent tracker sites to use now that Mininova has decided to remove torrents that link to copyrighted material in order to comply with a court order from last August. Thanksgiving day was anything but festive after Dutch BitTorrent tracker site Mininova announced it would immediately delete torrents that linked to copyrighted material and would henceforth limit content to only that which is offered on its legitimate Content Distribution service. The decision was made in order to comply with a Dutch court ruling from last August whereby the Utrecht Court ordered the site to remove all torrent trackers that link to copyrighted material or face fines of  €1000 euro ($1,422 USD) per link up to a maximum of 5 million euro (7.13m USD).
