Europe says No! to French anti-P2P plan

The European Parliament has overwhelmingly said No! to French president Nicolas Sarkozy’s plans to use taxpayer money to pay for corporate entertainment cartel business development. Vivendi Universal, EMI, Warner Music and Sony Music, and Time Warner, Viacom, Fox, Sony, NBC Universal and Disney, are trying to suborn governments around the world in their efforts to gain complete and total control of how ‘product’ is distributed online, and by whom. However, although some governments, notably those in New Zealand, Australia, France and America, are more than willing to cooperate, Hollywood and the Big 4 record labels are being thwarted at every turn, mainstream media reports to the contrary notwithstanding.
