File Sharing Can’t Be Stopped, Says Pink Floyd’s Former Manager

Peter Jenner, the former manager behind life-size bands like Pink Floyd and The Clash has expressed his views on file sharing in a number of occasions, at some point asking the UK government to intervene and set up a blanket licensing program. However, not everyone knows that Jenner is also a former Cambridge University economics lecturer and more from this perspective, as an economist, he made his latest comments on the hot issue. On Wednesday, at the Westminster eForum, Jenner admitted that trying to stop file sharing is pointless and the industry and government’s efforts should be redirected: “Attempts to stop people from copying are clearly a waste of time.
