P2PON Recommends: ‘The Invention of Lying’
Sorry for the absence guys but now we’re back with our weekly movie review – some good films have appeared lately on p2p networks and ‘The Invention of Lying’ is definitely one of them. Co-written and directed by Ricky Gervais (his first film as a director) and newcomer Matthew Robinson, the film exposes a world where lying is totally unknown to mankind until Mark Bellison discovers it (“I said something that wasn't”) and while there are moments where the glimpses into this world are a bit disappointing and not as spectacular as we’d expect, ‘The Invention of Lying’ manages to create the right context for deep thoughts and reflection. Maybe the first 30 minutes of the film are its best but nonetheless it keeps a good pace and delivers good (sometimes bitter) comic scenes until the end.

Each week P2PON presents a film and provides you with a link where you can download it and watch it in good quality. This is not good cinematography, this is a splendid idea put in a film! “Ink” is definitely one of the best films released this year. Chances are it will soon become a cult indie film but while comparisons to The Matrix, Dark City, and the likes have been quick to emerge, don’t expect anything as elaborate as that, in terms of effects or cinematography’ expect lots of heart instead! You could say “Ink” belongs to fantasy films but its ‘purpose’ is to affect your very real world (and doubt it) and it damn succeeds.

All the movies listed on the site have a plot description and list of cast members, the film’s director, year it was produced and the genre it falls under. In addition the site lists the IMDb rating of each film with a direct link to IMDb.
