VID SPOOF: Hosting a Win 7 BitTorrent Party

Mocks the recent official release of Windows 7 by showing people gathered around food, laptops out, and ready to use their favorite BitTorrent client and tracker site to download a copy for free. As most of us here already know, Windows 7 was officially launched last Thursday the 22nd. I, and many others, have been using it for quite some time now so and I’m not sure that a majority have exactly ran down to their local Best Buy to buy a legitimate copy.

Smartphones suck 8x more cellular capacity than laptops

Conventional wisdom says that laptops with data cards cause more of a traffic jam on cell networks than handhelds because of the relative increase in data consumption. However, a new study from mobile broadband technology provider Airvana says that smartphones generate the majority of “signaling activity”—messages to and from cell sites for polling purposes. This is an indicator of an “urgent need” for improved data processing among cell networks in the US.

FCC boss: mobile wireless in peril from spectrum shortage
