China lambasts Google again for disseminating porn
Google is guilty of “disseminating pornographic and vulgar information” and should stop immediately, according to China’s Internet Illegal Information Reporting Center . The organization made the accusation Thursday after making several requests to Google to remove what it has deemed inappropriate content, and said that Chinese authorities should take action if Google won’t conduct a “thorough clean-up.” The Center is specifically targeting Google’s Chinese search engine , which is apparently still serving up links to various places on the Web with unsavory content. This is despite China’s push since the beginning of the year to get Google and Chinese search engine Baidu to magically make all porn on the Web invisible to Chinese surfers—a daunting task for search engines that automatically index new Web content that pops up.
