Judge hits Beatles MP3 seller with restraining order
The wheels of justice don’t always turn slowly. Only two days after music label EMI asked a federal judge to stop BlueBeat.com from selling The Beatles’ newly remastered albums online at a quarter a track, the judge has agreed—and suggests that he’s just as confused about what BlueBeat is doing as everyone else is. Judge John Walter took a look at both parties’ initial claims and decided to issue a temporary restraining order against BlueBeat and its parent company, Media Rights Technologies.

An Illinois man is suing the maker of a video baby monitor after discovering that he and his neighbor could spy on each other through the devices. Wes Denkov filed a proposed class action lawsuit on Friday against Summer Infant and Toys ‘R’ Us over the $99 Summer Infant Day and Night Video Monitor . He did so after a neighbor, who used the same brand, informed him that video and audio from Denkov’s son’s nursery was showing up on the neighbor’s monitor whenever it was set to the same channel.
