p2pnet news Politics | Open Source:- The city of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada, has taken a major step forward in the digital 21st-century. Shared Vision councillor Andrea Reimer (right) says local politicians shouldn’t be, “fearful about the public knowing what we know”. With that in mind, she proposed, “moving toward using open-source software, open standards and open data” in the city’s bureaucracy and operations, says Georgia Straight .
